Create and Reflect Thought

Art, such as a painting, is a complicated symbol of the artist's thoughts.  The clearer an artist is on what she wants to create, the more she thinks about that specific subject as she works, the more likely she is to reflect her exact thought onto her canvas.  When she is finished, she will wipe her brow and say, "That's it.  That's what I wanted to say."

When you view her work of art, it will cause you to think.  You may immediately immerse yourself in the painting - imagining yourself smack in the middle of it.  You may try to decipher the artist's state of mind as she worked (as in "What was she thinking?").  You may take an analytical approach and consider the materials used and the work's composition.  It is highly unlikely that you view her artwork and think absolutely nothing.

In this way, symbols both reflect and create thought.
