Introduction to Life CoachingYou're a smart, curious woman and probably a mother, too. You know how to fix the world when it gets turned upside down.
You've managed emergency room visits, social dramas, bruised egos, financial trouble and teacher conferences and/or home school stress.
All of your life experiences have led you to where you stand today. You may wish you'd handled some things differently, but you figure you'll know better next time around. Women consistently manage this world's ups and downs (often at great expense to themselves). That's why women are mothers. We're the ones everyone else turns to when their worlds go haywire. Nurturing so many other souls is a large burden to carry!
We women are so good at fixing other people's worlds that we don't take time to fix our own world. Where do you go when you're hanging on by your fingernails? Oh sure, you can cry on our husbands' shoulders, complain to your friends or call your mom. It feels liberating to finally take an opportunity and unload stress. But if you're like most women, that feeling of liberation is short-lived.
You feel so much better after unloading stress that you think you're ready to carry on. Unfortunately, "carrying on" means diving back into the situations that caused the stress in the first place. Nothing changes. You only get to feel like Super Woman for a little while. Then you go back to doing the same things in the same ways. In a few months, weeks, or even hours, you're a basket case all over again. If you're ready to break the Super Woman to Basket Case cycle, then you may be ready for a personal life coach.
